How current price comparison works
Current listings come from the approved Newegg Product Catalog through Rakuten Advertising. Every offer names the identified part, merchant, current price, availability, direct link, and time checked. We also keep our own dated record of the prices we publish, which is how a part can eventually be called cheap or dear against its own past rather than only against the rest of today's market. Uncertain or expired listings stay off the page.
The history pages separately show 11 broad US government indexes, current to August 2026. Each one describes a category of goods, not the price of a specific component, and is labelled that way.
